Edward Spoon in Gigglesboro

Well, Edward and my time together is coming to a close and soon he will be off to join Megan at Cornell. Unfortunately, what with midterms and all sorts of nonsense, I did not get to bring Edward out as much as I would have liked to, but we still had some romping good times. He will have to train at the Greenleaf next time he comes around, since I always forgot to get him before my shifts. We did however, see Where the Wild Things are this Friday with my friends Erick, Alethea, Merideth, and John. He liked Douglass the best, he seemed the most sensible and spoonlike. Meredith made herself, Alethea, and myself felt ears, but we didn't have bobby pins small enough for Edward. This is a picture of us after the movie. We were feeling quite wild.

A few days before then, however, we hung out at our friends Fran and Merideth (yes, the same Meredith as before)'s apartment. We played the Village, which is a role playing game in which you need lots of people. There are specific roles: the werewolf (who kills someone each night), the hunter (who has 3 silver bullets), the witch (who can save 1 person every night), the elder (who gets a clue as to who the werewolf is every night), the child (who also gets clues once their "parents" are dead), and the mad bomber (who can choose to suicide bomb whoever they want throughout the course of the game), and a couple peasants. Edward, it turned out was the Mad Bomber in our game and saved us all at the last minute! Our hero!

Here is Edward before the game however, admiring Justin Po (Fran's boyfriend)'s talent. Justin has constructed a ship entiredly of cardboard and either tape or glue, not sure which. Edward was very impressed and ranted to me for hours about sailing away. I reminded him that it was, in fact, Justin's boat and that he probably wouldn't get far anyway, since it is cardboard. He agreed and was content hanging out on it in the living room.

And here is Edward admiring yet another of Justin's imaginative creations. You turn the handle at the end and it looks really awesome and wavy. Sometimes it makes noises too. In the backround you can see John's foot and Meredith's leg.

These last two pictures are of Edward's trainride back to New Jersey. We left at 4:00 in the morning (if was very hard to get the sleepyhead out of bed, but I achieved it) and met up with our friend Jake at the train depot in downtown Greensboro. Jake, Edward and I all sat together on the train and found each other great sleeping companions. We drifted off to Sigur Ros: Edward agreed that they were very good sleeping music, but he couldn't understand why he couldn't play kazoo. Here's the three of us right before heading out.

This next one is of Teddy and Edward sitting on the train together. Teddy approved greatly of Edward's ribbon and was allowed to wear it for a few hours. They talked for quite some time (I was a little afraid they would wake up the other passengers) and Teddy told Edward that he also did not see why a kazoo was not appropriate sleeping music. Oy!
