Uhh...

Dear Everyone,

I suck. The reason you haven't heard anything about Edward from Megan is I never actually sent him off to Megan :( Boo. But, I will be handing him off to her in person this week so he can enjoy Thanksgiving and then ACTUALLY make his way to Cornell. I sincerely apologize for my negligence and hope that one day, in your hearts, you can forgive me.

Love,
Colleen

EDIT: OKAY! I LIED! HE'S WITH SARAH DOUGHERTY INSTEAD OF MEGAN LAM. STOP JUDGING ME, I SAW SARAH FIRST AND I FIGURED IT WASN'T SUCH A BIG DEAL. GOSH!

LOVE,
COLLEEN

Edward Spoon in Gigglesboro

Well, Edward and my time together is coming to a close and soon he will be off to join Megan at Cornell. Unfortunately, what with midterms and all sorts of nonsense, I did not get to bring Edward out as much as I would have liked to, but we still had some romping good times. He will have to train at the Greenleaf next time he comes around, since I always forgot to get him before my shifts. We did however, see Where the Wild Things are this Friday with my friends Erick, Alethea, Merideth, and John. He liked Douglass the best, he seemed the most sensible and spoonlike. Meredith made herself, Alethea, and myself felt ears, but we didn't have bobby pins small enough for Edward. This is a picture of us after the movie. We were feeling quite wild.

A few days before then, however, we hung out at our friends Fran and Merideth (yes, the same Meredith as before)'s apartment. We played the Village, which is a role playing game in which you need lots of people. There are specific roles: the werewolf (who kills someone each night), the hunter (who has 3 silver bullets), the witch (who can save 1 person every night), the elder (who gets a clue as to who the werewolf is every night), the child (who also gets clues once their "parents" are dead), and the mad bomber (who can choose to suicide bomb whoever they want throughout the course of the game), and a couple peasants. Edward, it turned out was the Mad Bomber in our game and saved us all at the last minute! Our hero!

Here is Edward before the game however, admiring Justin Po (Fran's boyfriend)'s talent. Justin has constructed a ship entiredly of cardboard and either tape or glue, not sure which. Edward was very impressed and ranted to me for hours about sailing away. I reminded him that it was, in fact, Justin's boat and that he probably wouldn't get far anyway, since it is cardboard. He agreed and was content hanging out on it in the living room.

And here is Edward admiring yet another of Justin's imaginative creations. You turn the handle at the end and it looks really awesome and wavy. Sometimes it makes noises too. In the backround you can see John's foot and Meredith's leg.

These last two pictures are of Edward's trainride back to New Jersey. We left at 4:00 in the morning (if was very hard to get the sleepyhead out of bed, but I achieved it) and met up with our friend Jake at the train depot in downtown Greensboro. Jake, Edward and I all sat together on the train and found each other great sleeping companions. We drifted off to Sigur Ros: Edward agreed that they were very good sleeping music, but he couldn't understand why he couldn't play kazoo. Here's the three of us right before heading out.

This next one is of Teddy and Edward sitting on the train together. Teddy approved greatly of Edward's ribbon and was allowed to wear it for a few hours. They talked for quite some time (I was a little afraid they would wake up the other passengers) and Teddy told Edward that he also did not see why a kazoo was not appropriate sleeping music. Oy!

The Celebrity Arrives!

Hey everyone!

Edward arrived in the mail yesterday. He's feeling fine and is settling in nicely at Guilford. He's taken well to the hipster scene and has made a new one-sy out of his ribbon. I'm currently working on finding a camera to bring around to our events and outings. He enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outside listening to our friends Becca and Scottie play mandolin and guitar as well as sing. He's also enjoying the Halloween kazzoo that he got last night. He's considering switching from bagpipes to kazzoo since he actually has a kazzoo. What a fickle little spoon, bless his heart.

More to come soon <3

Hello All!

This will probably be my last blog entry, as my time with Edward is coming to an end. He is very excited to be going South to Colleen!

Last weekend I took a bus home to spend some time in good old B.H. and attend my great great Aunt Jo's suprise 90th birthday celebration.

I'm not going to lie, I completely forgot to bring Edward despite the fact that I purposely packed him and made him comfortable in my room the night before. I know, I dropped the ball. I don't think he would have had much fun anyway...dessert required spoons and it might have been traumatic for him.

He did however enjoy his time at home. It was quite nice to get away from dorm life for a little bit.

Right: Edward reads the Sunday comics with my mother.

Today we had excellent weather here in Ithaca (70 degrees!) and so Caity, Kristen and I decided to bring our books outside and enjoy it while we still can. Edward joined us of course, and studied some biology with Caity. He also decided to do some sun bathing. Such an odd spoon he is!
Having Edward around has been a blast. Get ready Leens, he's coming your way!
Peace, Love, Purple Spoons.

Good Afternoon!

Last night was my friend Jie's birthday. Some of his other friends threw him a dance party at their house off campus. It was so much fun (mostly because I love dressing up to go out!). When we got back we ordered food from the Connection-the equivilent to late night diner runs back home- and had ourselves some delicious treats. Edward enjoyed his milkshake with cookiedough..yummm.

Its already starting to feel like Autumn here in Ithaca...gotta love jeans and sweatshirt weather!

This morning Caity, Abby, and I took Edward to the Ithaca Farmer's Market. We bought ourselves some delicious organic food and had a great time people watching and admiring the work of local craftsmen. I bought myself a really pretty necklace for only like 5 dollars...if Edward is lucky maybe I'll let him borrow it...but thats a big maybe :p

Below Left: Caity and Edward being silly at the dock at the Market. Gotta love 'em.
Below Right: Edward and I at the Market...with the apple cider I bought..nothing better than fresh apple cider!

Now Edward and I are gonna hit the books..we have a lot to do..ohhh college.

Hello Again!
Edward and I are having a fantastic time together! Yesterday we celebrated my 19th birthday. It was quite an affair! We danced our hearts out and ate lots of sugary treats.
He really enjoyed the cake!

I've been taking him around so he could see the campus...

Above left: Enjoying campus food at the Terrace Dining Hall with Miss. Abby Paulson
Above right: While we walked around, we ran into my RA (resident assistant) from last year, Alyssa. ...they totally hit it off obviously!
Today a bunch of friends and I went hiking and then for a swim at one of the many gorges in the area. We hiked about 2 miles uphill (in flip flops!) and found this lovely little waterfall. The water was sooo cold..like 55 degrees. It was so fun to swim under the falls and sit on the rocks and just enjoy nature. My friend Crystal packed us pb&j sandwhiches that we enjoyed under the shade of the trees. After hiking back to the parking lot..we found out there was a swimming area right at the entrance that we had missed! It was hilarious. It was a beautiful day and we had a fantastic time.

Happp Labor Day Weekend from Edward and I!

Edward Has Arrived to IC!

Dear Friends,

Edward has made it to Ithaca College! He arrived on Friday, safe and sound. Things have been a little crazy here with the beginning of classes and such, so his adventures have been limited so far. (Don't worry! He will be seeing all Ithaca has to offer!)
Beause I've been so busy with school work, Edward has decided to catch up on his studies as well!

We've had a lot of catching up to do, as well as bonding. We got bored one afternoon and decided to have some photo-booth fun...

Apparently after I left for class, the fun continued. Ohhh Edward, you crazy spoon.

Thats all for now...I'm so excited for my time with Edward!
Mucho Love,
Lauren
