Edward Has Arrived to IC!

Dear Friends,

Edward has made it to Ithaca College! He arrived on Friday, safe and sound. Things have been a little crazy here with the beginning of classes and such, so his adventures have been limited so far. (Don't worry! He will be seeing all Ithaca has to offer!)
Beause I've been so busy with school work, Edward has decided to catch up on his studies as well!

We've had a lot of catching up to do, as well as bonding. We got bored one afternoon and decided to have some photo-booth fun...

Apparently after I left for class, the fun continued. Ohhh Edward, you crazy spoon.

Thats all for now...I'm so excited for my time with Edward!
Mucho Love,
Lauren

Edward with a Taco and His First Day of College

Dear Friends,
I had a wonderful month with our dear friend Edward Spoon. We went shopping and had oodles and oodles of fun with Colleen and the gang. Edward was quite suave with Ariel the little mermaid. Oh Edward....
Over the past week Edward and I went to Tito's Burritos in Summit, NJ with my mother and picked up a delightful bunch of tacos and burritos...yum. He dove right into the salsa and did a beautiful dance. Quite the twinkle toes when he tries. He feasted on his swordfish taco with my beautiful dog Gingy Boots.
After the wonderful taco and the endless hours of packing and the tearful goodbyes Edward hopped into my car and we drove down to the lovely University of Mary Washington. He is so excited to begin his academic career. Monsieur Spoon was quite comfy on my pillow filled bed with Meagan, a dear college friend...she likes squirrels. Edward is a little nervous about school, I can tell by his mood, but with a little encouraging I can see our friend Edward graduating at the top of his class. He does not know his major yet but after walking around this hot Virginia campus he is even more thrilled to go visit our dear friend Lauren at Ithaca. He may need some snow boots. Or maybe just a sweater vest...everyone needs at least one.
Lauren get ready for your new best friend.
-Sincerely,
Candace

From Togas to Mermaids...

Above: TOGA! TOGA! Edward is truly the next Aristotle.

Above: Now Edward what did we say about hitting on merpeople? They are not part of your world!

Dearest Friends,

I understand there have been more pictures and more blogs posted than the desired amount for one caretaker of our friend Edward Spoon, yet Colleen and I thought that since this was the first session with him we would give many examples of appropriate events Edward is allowed to participate in. We had a truly wonderful day with him. It was filled with ups and downs and ferrets. I assume that is normal for a spoon of his caliber. Yet it was a glorious purple day. The fish were swimming, the togas were worn and the bees were buzzing...no where near Edward...he is allergic. I will post another blog very soon and that will conclude my first session with Monsieur Edward Spoon.

Edward's First Group Outing

Dearest Friends,

The night of Monday, August 10th, the majority of our happy joyous gang of fun bandits explored the grounds of Panera Bread with our lovely and talented companion Edward Spoon. He was dressed to impress...wearing nothing but a smile...truly the way Edward does things. We fine dined with Lauren, Robert, Colleen, Allie and of course Megan L. Oh the laughs we all shared as Edward surprising put on a Hawaiian style skirt made out of a simple napkin and pranced around the table. Oh silly Edward. He came in contact with some of his old friends, the Panera Bread knife and fork. They were certainly not on par with Edward's classy style and attitude, therefore the conversations were brief. As our gang of joyous friends concluded dinner we decided upon swinging on the swing set at Woodruff Park. After the car ride filled with Rob's favorite, Kelly Clarkson, proclaiming a new love jam Edward made his way to the swings and was content in reaching new heights. He then determined that his name will be oh so confused with the shady yet romantic vampire from Twilight and he was deeply saddened. Yet all was brought to celebration again when we all retreated to my humble abode and Rob feasted on a cupcake that dyed his teeth and mouth blue while we all jokingly played a few innocent rounds of Madlibs. Edward truly enjoyed his first night out with the gang and is very excited for his next experience. Edward Spoon forever!
